Harmonization of the Eastern Nose Type: Hump Removal (1 Month)

A young female patient visited my clinic with a request classic for the Eastern type of appearance. She was dissatisfied with the excessive massiveness of her nose, which deprived her facial features of refinement and softness, making her overall look more severe.

During the examination and analysis of the initial anatomy (“Before” photos), I noted the following features:

• A pronounced osteocartilaginous hump: it sharply dominated the profile, creating a harsh, masculine silhouette.
• A droopy and wide nasal tip: the tip angled downward, visually elongating the face, while in the frontal view, it looked undefined and lacked clear definition.
• Asymmetry of the nasal bridge and axis: the frontal photo shows a slight deviation of the nose from the central facial axis caused by a deviated septum, which understandably caused the patient problems with full nasal breathing.

Working with such architectonics requires an integrated approach — simultaneous rhinoseptoplasty. The patient’s skin possessed medium density, which required rigid and reliable reshaping of the new cartilaginous framework from me: this is the only way to guarantee that over time, when all swelling subsides, the nasal tip will retain its elegant shape and will not droop.

During the surgery, I initially worked on the internal structures — straightened the nasal septum and restored airflow. Then, I proceeded to the aesthetic stage: gently removed the hump, narrowed the bony nasal pyramid to achieve beautiful lines in the frontal view, and completely reconstructed the tip. I elevated (rotated) it upward, opening the nasolabial angle, and gave it a neat, sculpted shape.

The “After” photos capture the result just 1 month after the surgery. It should be understood that at this early stage, a dense post-operative swelling is still present on the face (especially in the nasal tip area), which will gradually and smoothly subside over the course of a year.

However, the aesthetic difference is already obvious now. The patient’s face was instantly transformed: the profile became flawlessly straight and noble, and the new position of the tip gave the face an amazing lightness and freshness. The nose looks completely natural, harmonizing with the shape of the lips and the shape of the eyes. The young woman feels incredibly confident and, most importantly, breathes easily and freely.
