The result modeling is of course based on your requests. However, it won't be "a drawing of your nose”. Rather, it's a “virtual operation” of sorts, where I factor in your anatomical data (it’s for a reason that I asked you for photos from 6 angles). So the result modeling is a reflection of an achievable and safe result specific to you only >. Sometimes, having seen the result modeling the patient asks, for instance, to "slim it down”. This is a surgery designed to correct errors, defects and unsatisfactory results of the previous surgery. Technically, this is the most difficult procedure in aesthetic surgery. As a rule, patients who ask for revision rhinoplasty want to have guarantees of a good result. But then again, only quacks use a promise of a guarantee to lure in gullible patients. Your best bet is to have a look at a gallery of your prospective surgeon's before and after results to form your own opinion. To make sure that you are as serious about your upcoming surgery as we are, a fixed advance payment (100,000 AMD) is required to schedule an appointment for a specific day. If everything goes as planned, you'll pay 100,000 AMD less for your surgery. However, if you change your mind and inform us about it less than two weeks before the scheduled date, the prepayment will turn into a non-refundable fine. You will need to pay again to reschedule. After I review the materials you provided from your previous surgery, current photos and CT results and if I see no contraindications, we will discuss and agree on the cost of your surgery. Next, you'll choose the day of your surgery and make an prepayment of AMD 100,000 either in cash at the clinic or by a bank transfer. Please note that the day before the operation, at 9:30 am, we will need to see you at the clinic, after which you will retake all the tests. You will be able to go home the next morning after the operation but remember that you will need to come in for a dressing change in a week.

Schedule the surgery
You can pick the date of the surgery after you're cleared for 3 mandatory stages - CT, result modeling and lab tests. 1. CT is short for "computer tomography". This is a non-invasive method to obtain the imaging of your internal organs. As you might guess I'm interested in the condition of your nose and paranasal sinuses. Here's what you do: 1) find a clinic with an actual CT scanner (not a dental office), and ask for a "CT scan of the nose and paranasal sinuses with a slice thickness of 0.5-1 mm." Next send it to me along with a specialist (radiologist) report. Don't worry, it's not that hard. Follow this link for an article with a description of the necessary files, where to get them and how to send them correctly nose.am/en/instructions. 2. You'll get your result modeling within a week after sending me your photos. Seing a picture of your future self will help you make the right decision. Click here for detailed photo requirements: nose.am/en/instructions. If you like your future nose you proceed to the third stage - health check. 3. Next comes checking your health status, that is, taking lab tests at the place of your residence. I need the lab test results to make sure there are no contraindications for the surgery. Click here for the list of tests you need to take: nose.am/en/instructions Once you're cleared for all 3 stages and receive confirmation from me that the state of your health allows you to undergo rhinoplasty, you pick the day of the surgery and make a fixed prepayment to the clinic. Please note that you'll need to retake the lab tests at 9.30 am a day before the surgery. You'll be discharged the next morning after the surgery. However, you'll need to return to the clinic in a week to change your dressing. If you don't live in Armenia, please plan your arrival and departure dates accordingly. What lab tests should be taken before the surgery?
- All tests are performed at our clinic one day before the surgery.
- CBC, ESR
- Coagulogram (APTT, INR, thrombin time, fibrinogen, antithrombin, coagulation time)
- Biochemical blood test (total protein, total and direct bilirubin, urea, creatinine, ALT, AST, glucose).
- General analysis of urine (for general analysis the entire portion of morning urine should be collected after thoroughly cleaning your genitals. Urine can be stored for no more than 1.5 hours before the lab test. Later use will produce unreliable results in because of changes in the urine cell structure).
Please note:
- Do not forget, all tests are taken on an empty stomach.
- Labtest results should be sent all at once!
- If you have vision problems you'll need to consult an ophthalmologist in advance and get a written report stating that you have no contraindications for rhinoplasty.
- If you have preexisting conditions a consultation with a specialist will be required.

Menstruation and pregnancy

Menstruation is not a contraindication for the surgery, however, it's more advisable to wait till your period is over. It is not recommended to get pregnant within six months after rhinoplasty, although it's not a hard ban 🙂
Varicose veins

Varicosis is not a contraindication for surgery, however, if you have this condition you'll absolutely need to purchase and wear compression stockings in your exact size during the surgery.
Braces and seasons

Good news! You can have a rhinoplasty at any time of the year. The second good news is that braces do not interfere with the surgery at all.
Guide to surgery

Before your surgery
Do not eat starting from 8 pm the day before your surgery. Do not eat or drink the morning before your surgery. A few days before your surgery you need to stop taking vitamin C, aspirin and its analogs, and stop smoking at least for a while. Do not use makeup, leave jewelry at home and remove all nail polish and rhinestones from your left thumbnail (and I mean it). Wear loose comfortable clothing that you won't have to take off or that can be removed easily without grazing your newly-operated nose.
After the surgery
You can drink an hour after your surgery, and you'll be able to eat in 3-4 hours. You will stay in the clinic for a day after the surgery (on bed rest). You'll be discharged the next day. Post-surgery you won't be allowed to have cosmetic procedures, such as peeling (for half a year), to smoke (for a month), to sleep on your side (for a couple of weeks), to drink and eat hot beverages and meals, to wear makeup (for a week), to wash your hair (for three days), to take a shower (for a day). After the surgery, try to drink more fluids (at least two liters of fluid per day) and sleep on a high pillow, in a semi-sitting position. This will minimize swelling and speed up the healing process.

Remember that rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult plastic surgeries, so you need to take these rules and recommendations very seriously, both before and post-surgery. Don't self-medicate or take advice from relatives, friends or just acquaintances. Any actions must be coordinated with your doctor!
