Refined Feminine Profile and Breathing Restoration (3 Weeks Post-Op)

Description

A young woman consulted me for aesthetic nose correction. Her primary wishes were related to altering her profile: the patient was deeply dissatisfied with a pronounced hump and a drooping nasal tip that deprived her face of softness. As is often the case in my practice, visual imperfections were accompanied by functional issues—due to a deviated septum, the patient experienced constant difficulty breathing fully through her nose, especially when lying down.

Initial Anatomical Picture (Before Surgery):
  • Profile: A rigid osteocartilaginous hump was clearly defined, disrupting the smoothness of the lines. The nasal tip was pointed downward, making the nasolabial angle acute. This anatomical structure visually heavy-weighted the middle third of the face and gave the expression a certain severity.
  • Skin quality: The patient has moderately thin skin, which demands utmost care and meticulous precision from the rhinoplasty surgeon. On such skin, even the smallest irregularity of the cartilaginous or bony framework can become noticeable after healing, so the contours must be rendered perfectly smooth.
Surgical Course and Objectives:

My key objective was to relieve the face of visual heaviness, make the nose neat and proportionate, and emphasize the patient’s natural femininity while fully restoring free breathing.

I performed a gentle closed rhinoseptoplasty. During the procedure, I delicately reduced the osteocartilaginous dorsum, completely eliminating the hump and creating a smooth, elegant profile line. The next crucial stage was detailed work on the nasal tip: I refined the shape and position of the alar cartilages, performing a slight upward rotation. This lifted the tip and opened the nasolabial angle to aesthetically ideal parameters. As an internal step, I performed a septoplasty, completely straightening the nasal septum.

Aesthetic and Functional Result (3 Weeks Post-Op):

The photos present the early postoperative result—just 3 weeks after surgery. Residual tissue swelling is still typical for this timeframe and will fully resolve only in a few months, but the overall transformation dynamics are already inspiring:

  • The hump is completely eliminated; the bridge of the nose has become smooth, graceful, and sleek.
  • The tip of the nose has been lifted, shortened, and achieved beautiful definition.
  • The patient’s face was instantly transformed—the gaze opened up, and general facial features look significantly softer, gentler, and younger.
  • Nasal breathing has been fully restored, and the patient is already enjoying the ability to breathe easily and freely.

Even though the nose still has to go through the process of final tissue settling, the patient is already in love with her new profile and feels absolutely confident.
