Profile beautification and facial feature harmonization (3 weeks)

A young female patient approached me with a classic request for profile beautification. The main source of her aesthetic discomfort was a large nose with a high hump and a drooping tip, which disrupted facial proportions and deprived it of its natural softness.

Initial anatomical features (“Before” photos)

When analyzing the patient’s profile, I identified the following key features:

• Nasal bridge: The presence of a large, sharply defined osteocartilaginous hump that visually dominated the face.
• Nasal tip: Significantly drooping downwards, with an acute nasolabial angle. This anatomy visually lengthened the nose and gave the face an overly strict, rigid, and more mature look.
• Anatomical balance: The nose appeared disproportionately massive relative to the young woman’s delicate lips and chin.

Surgical goals and course of the operation

My primary goal was to create an elegant, harmonious profile that would perfectly blend into the overall architectonics of the patient’s face, making her features softer and more balanced.

During the surgery, I carefully reduced the projection of the nasal bridge, completely removing the osteocartilaginous excess and shaping a smooth, refined line. The main emphasis was placed on remodeling the tip: I performed its delicate upward rotation, lifting and securing it in the correct anatomical position. This allowed opening up the nasolabial angle, visually shortening the nose, and giving the profile the desired lightness.

Result at an early stage of rehabilitation (“After” photos)

The presented images show the result of the early recovery stage, just 3 weeks post-surgery. At this stage, tight postoperative swelling still persists in the tissues, especially in the area of the nasal tip and the supratip zone. The shape of the nose will continue to refine and become more elegant over the course of six months to a year. However, a massive difference is already visible:

• The profile has become completely straight, smooth, and feminine.
• The slightly upturned tip has completely transformed the face — the eyes look more open, the former strictness has vanished, and a pronounced rejuvenating effect is evident.
• The new proportions of the nose have accentuated the beauty of the patient’s lips and eyes, making the overall look cohesive and harmonious.

Even though a long process of final tissue formation still lies ahead, the patient is already thrilled with her new reflection in the mirror.
