A young man sought help with profile correction, desiring to harmonize his facial features and restore full nasal breathing.
Initial anatomical features
Upon detailed examination of the initial situation, I noted several key points. Firstly, the patient has quite thick, porous skin. In male rhinoplasty, this always presents a certain challenge: thick skin conceals the finesse of surgical work, so shaping a defined tip requires filigree and structural modeling of the cartilaginous framework. Secondly, a wide nasal dorsum, a massive, slightly drooping tip, and noticeable asymmetry caused by nasal septum deformation were visualized. Due to these features, the face appeared somewhat heavy and tired, and the axis deviation, as I suspected, caused the patient severe discomfort when breathing.
Course of the surgery
I performed a hybrid rhinoseptoplasty. My main task was not only to create an aesthetically appealing profile but also to preserve natural masculine charisma, strictly avoiding an “operated” look. I paid special attention to the structural support of the nasal tip so it would confidently hold its shape under the weight of thick skin, narrowed the dorsum, and carried out meticulous work to straighten the septum.
Result
Evaluating the “After” result, I see exactly the picture we aimed for. The nasal dorsum has become straight and noble, the tip has been elevated and acquired neater, yet still masculine contours. The nasal axis is perfectly aligned, which gave the face proper proportions. The patient’s face instantly transformed, looking fresh and open. But most importantly, we completely restored the physiological function, returning free nasal breathing to the patient. The patient is incredibly happy with the result and his new reflection in the mirror. As we joke with him now: he has his mother’s eyes, but the perfect nose is my work.
