A young female patient came for an initial consultation with a comprehensive request: she was concerned about both the aesthetics of her nose and functional issues. Her main visual complaint was a prominent hump, which made her profile heavy and her facial features overly sharp.
Initial Anatomical Features
During a detailed examination, I carefully studied the baseline anatomical data. In profile, a pronounced deformation of the osteocartilaginous part of the nasal bridge was clearly visible, and the tip was slightly droopy. When viewed from the base (basal view), I detected noticeable asymmetry of the nostrils and a deviated nasal septum. Quite logically, such internal anatomy caused my patient chronic difficulties with proper nasal breathing. The patient’s skin turned out to be normal but tended to be thick, which always poses a certain challenge to the surgeon — in such cases, truly jewelry-like work with cartilage structures is required so that the new, refined tip is clearly defined and retains its shape.
The Course of the Operation
I performed a hybrid rhinoseptoplasty. My main goal was to resolve both problems during a single surgical intervention: to give the patient free breathing and to aesthetically harmonize her face. I delicately lowered the bridge, removing the hump and creating an absolutely straight, natural profile line. Having carefully worked on the septum, I straightened it — this allowed me not only to restore airway patency but also to set a straight central axis of the nose, completely eliminating the baseline asymmetry of the nostrils. I gently lifted and narrowed the tip of the nose, providing it with reliable internal support.
The Result
The result I recorded right on the operating table fully corresponds to my initial plan. The patient’s face was instantly transformed: the profile became softer, more feminine, and harmonious. A neat, slightly lifted tip of the nose refreshed her look, removing the visual effect of fatigue. I am very pleased with the work done, because I managed to create an aesthetically flawless and, most importantly, healthy, freely breathing nose. As it is rightly noted at the end of the video: “The eyes are from mom, but the nose is from Gevorg Yurievich.” I am confident that the new reflection in the mirror will bring my patient an immense amount of joy and self-confidence.
