A pleasant young lady approached me with a desire to make her profile softer and more harmonious. She was concerned about classic aesthetic nuances that often cause patients to avoid profile photos: an uneven nasal bridge and a somewhat heavy tip.
Initial Anatomy (Before Surgery)
During the examination phase, I studied the initial anatomy in detail. The “Before” photo clearly shows a pronounced osteocartilaginous hump and a slightly droopy, insufficiently structured nasal tip. Together, these features visually lengthened the nose and gave the face a somewhat tired, stern look, overshadowing the patient’s natural femininity.
Surgical Process and Goals
My goal was to perform delicate work, preserving the individuality of her features while adding lightness and elegance to them. During the surgery, I performed:
- Careful correction of the bony vault: meticulously removing the hump and creating a straight, smooth bridge.
- Tip reshaping: I delicately lifted it, reinforced the cartilaginous framework, and narrowed it to achieve a beautiful projection with a soft, natural transition.
- Functional stage: I straightened the nasal septum (septoplasty) to ensure full, free breathing for the patient.
Result 1 Year Later (After)
In the “After” photo, taken a year after the surgical intervention, we can appreciate the final, stabilized result of my work.
- The profile has become flawless, and the nose is neat and refined.
- Notice how the face has transformed as a whole: it looks significantly fresher, more open, and youthful, and the former heaviness is gone.
For me as a surgeon, the greatest reward is the gentle, sincere smile of my patient and her absolute satisfaction with her new, harmonious reflection in the mirror.
