Feminine Rhinoplasty: Hump Removal and Tip Rotation (1 Month)

Description

A young woman consulted me for aesthetic nose correction. Her main goal was to make her facial features softer, gentler, and more harmonious. According to the patient, excess volume along the nasal dorsum and a drooping tip gave her face an overly strict and mature expression.

Initial Anatomical Picture (Before)

When analyzing the face in profile and three-quarter views, I highlighted the following key features:

  • Pronounced osteocartilaginous hump: The nasal dorsum had a noticeable convexity that disrupted the smooth facial lines and drew all the attention to itself.
  • Drooping nasal tip: The tip angled downward, making the nasolabial angle overly acute. This visually lengthened the nose and created a slight “heavy” effect in the middle third of the face.
  • Skin quality: The patient’s skin is of medium thickness and quite elastic. This is a favorable skin type that retracts excellently after the reduction of underlying structures, allowing for clear and beautiful definition of the new, more delicate nasal contours.
Surgical Course and Objectives

My primary goal was to create a natural, neat nose that would emphasize the patient’s natural beauty without altering her individuality.

During surgery, I performed a careful reduction (lowering) of the bony and cartilaginous sections of the nasal dorsum, completely eliminating the hump and shaping a smooth, refined profile line. I then proceeded to delicate modeling of the tip region: corrected the shape of the alar cartilages and performed a subtle upward rotation of the nasal tip. This opened up the nasolabial angle, reduced visual length, and gave the nose an aesthetic definition. I also reinforced the internal nasal structures during the procedure to eliminate any risk of future breathing issues.

Early Result at 1 Month (After)

The photos on the right display the early result—only 1 month has passed since the surgery. It is worth noting that dense postoperative swelling is still present at this stage (especially in the tip region), which will gradually subside over the next 6–12 months. Over time, the nose will become even more refined, and its contours will be defined to perfection.

Nevertheless, the transformation already looks stunning:

  • The line of the nasal dorsum has become perfectly straight and smooth.
  • The tip of the nose has lifted, taken on a neat shape, and no longer appears heavy.
  • The overall perception of the face has completely transformed: the eyes appear more open, facial features have softened, and a pronounced femininity has emerged.

The patient feels wonderful, her nasal breathing is completely clear, and even at this early stage, she is incredibly happy to see her new, harmonious reflection in the mirror.
