A vibrant young female patient came to me for a consultation. Her main concerns were related to the shape of her nose in profile: a prominent hump and a drooping tip deprived her face of refinement, gave her expression a harsher look, and visually added age. Initial Anatomical Features (Before Surgery)
Upon a detailed analysis of the face in profile projection, I identified the following key nuances:
- Nasal bridge: A pronounced osteocartilaginous hump that disrupted the smooth flow of lines and created a sharp, masculine silhouette.
- Nasal tip: Noticeably drooped downward (drooping tip deformation). Because of this, the nasolabial angle was excessively acute, and the nose itself appeared visually longer, weighing down the middle third of the face.
- Functional state: During the examination, I also diagnosed a deviation of the internal nasal septum. The patient confirmed experiencing regular nasal congestion and breathing difficulty, especially at night.
Surgical Procedure and Objectives
My goal was not merely to eliminate visible flaws, but to completely harmonize the facial features, making the nose elegant yet entirely natural. I performed a comprehensive rhinoseptoplasty, during which I addressed several critical tasks:
- Bridge correction: I performed a precise resection of excess bone and cartilage in the hump area, shaping an impeccably smooth, refined profile line.
- Tip modeling: I gently elevated (rotated) the nasal tip, eliminated its drooping, and securely fixed it in a new, anatomically correct projection. This elegantly opened up the nasolabial angle and visually lightened the face.
- Functional restoration: As a second stage, I performed a septoplasty—straightening the deformed areas of the septum to open the airways.
Result After 3 Weeks

At this stage, postoperative edema inevitably persists, especially around the nasal tip. It will take up to a year for the tissues to settle completely and for the contours to become fully refined. However, a striking difference is already visible now.
The patient’s profile has become incredibly soft, feminine, and harmonious. The removal of the hump and a subtle upward rotation of the tip instantly “opened up” her gaze, giving her face a fresh, rested, and youthful look. Nasal breathing has been fully restored, and even at this early stage of rehabilitation, the patient is genuinely enjoying her transformation.
