Delicate hump correction and creation of a refined profile

Description

A young female patient came to me for a consultation with a classic request — to soften her facial features and correct the shape of her nose, which deprived her profile of lightness and refinement.

Initial anatomical features (“Before” photo)

During the analysis, I identified several key aspects that required surgical intervention:

  • Pronounced osteocartilaginous hump: it protruded sharply forward, dominating the face and disrupting the smooth lines of the profile.
  • Drooping, downward-pointing nasal tip: combined with an acute nasolabial angle, this visually elongated the nose, making the facial expression look more stern and tired.
  • Breathing issues: severe deviation of the internal septal structures predictably led to obstructed nasal breathing, so the surgery was planned as a simultaneous procedure (rhinoseptoplasty).
Surgical process and objectives

My primary goal was to recreate a harmonious, natural, and soft feminine silhouette. The work required delicate handling of the bony structures of the nasal dorsum and creating a reliable cartilaginous support for the tip to completely prevent it from drooping in the future.

During the rhinoseptoplasty, I carefully corrected the deviation of the internal septum, restoring the patient’s ability to breathe freely. After that, I moved on to aesthetic modeling: gently removed the hump to form a straight nasal bridge, elevated (rotated) the tip, and gracefully defined the nasolabial angle.

Result after 3 weeks (“After” photo)

The “After” photos show a very early result — only 3 weeks have passed since the day of the surgery. At this stage, the tissues still retain dense postoperative swelling, especially in the tip and supratip area. Over the following months, the swelling will gradually subside, and the nose will become even more refined, neat, and well-defined.

However, a monumental difference is already noticeable:

  • The profile line has become flawlessly straight.
  • The slightly elevated tip gave the face an amazing freshness and a visual rejuvenating effect.
  • The patient is delighted with the first results in the mirror and enjoys full, free nasal breathing.
