A patient approached me with a request for a comprehensive transformation. Her main desire was to get rid of the bulkiness of her nose and restore harmony to her face. The initial anatomy not only weighed down her facial features but also visually added age, making her facial expression look more stern and tired.
Anatomical Analysis “Before”:
- Pronounced osteocartilaginous hump: it sharply dominated the profile, disrupting the smoothness of lines and drawing all attention away from the patient’s eyes.
- Drooping nasal tip: combined with an acute nasolabial angle, it created a “bird’s功 beak” effect. With age, due to natural tissue ptosis, this defect usually only worsens.
- Functional problems: examination revealed a deviated internal septum, which severely obstructed free nasal breathing.
Objectives and Course of the Surgery:
My key goal in this case was to perform not just an aesthetic correction, but a delicate beautification with a rejuvenating effect. Working with medium-thickness skin in adult patients requires maximum atraumatic technique and jewelry-like precision.
I gently removed the hump, forming a smooth, noble line of the nasal dorsum. Then I performed septoplasty, completely restoring the architectonics of the internal structures for perfect breathing. The nasal tip was lifted (rotated upward) and securely fixed in a new, anatomically correct position, which allowed for a beautifully opened nasolabial angle.
“After” Result (just 2 weeks post-surgery):
The photographs capture a very early result — only 14 days have passed since the surgery. At this stage, the tissues still retain a pronounced postoperative edema (especially in the tip area), which will gradually and smoothly subside over the coming months, making the contours of the nose even more sculpted and elegant.
Nevertheless, a colossal difference is already visible now:
- The profile has become perfectly smooth, soft, and feminine.
- The change in the position of the nasal tip provided a powerful rejuvenating effect — the face instantly refreshed, visually dropping several years.
- The facial features have begun to look proportionate and balanced.
The patient tolerated the surgery and the first weeks of rehabilitation perfectly. She already notes that her nose has begun to breathe much more fully and freely, and the first results in the mirror bring a sincere smile to her face.
