Softening of facial features and structural rhinoseptoplasty (3 weeks)

A charming young woman approached me with a desire to soften her facial features and achieve harmony in her profile. Upon detailed examination, I noticed a pronounced osteocartilaginous hump and a noticeably droopy, heavy nasal tip. This anatomical feature visually elongated the middle third of the face, weighed down the profile, and gave the look a tired appearance. In addition, internal deviation of the septum created difficulties with nasal breathing, which required me to perform not only aesthetic but also a full-scale functional correction.

Initial anatomical features

Analyzing the baseline data, I also noted the patient’s rather thick, porous skin. In plastic surgery, this always means an additional challenge: thick skin tends to conceal fine details, so it requires a particularly precise and structural approach from me when working with the cartilage. I needed to create a strong and meticulously calculated cartilaginous framework so that the new nasal tip would turn out elegant and expressive.

Surgical procedure and objectives of the surgeon

My goal was to transform the profile while maintaining the patient’s natural appearance and individuality. During the comprehensive rhinoseptoplasty, I performed:

• Delicate removal of the hump with the formation of a smooth, aesthetically correct nasal bridge.
• Structural narrowing of the nasal tip: I lifted it, setting the correct rotation and a slight, feminine upturn.
• Functional stage: alignment of the nasal septum to fully restore physiological breathing.

Result after 3 weeks

The photographs show the result just 3 weeks after the surgery. Despite the fact that natural post-operative swelling still persists at this stage, the transformation is already obvious.

The face has completely changed: the heaviness is gone, the profile has become soft, aristocratic, and fresh. The young woman visually looks younger, and her features have achieved perfect balance. My patient is happy to see an exact reflection of her inner beauty in the mirror, breathes freely and easily, and for me, this is the best possible result.
