This young patient was highly dissatisfied with the pronounced facial asymmetry caused by a severe nasal deviation, as well as the presence of a large hump. In addition to the obvious aesthetic imbalance, such a significant axis shift almost always entails serious nasal breathing problems due to the deformation of internal structures.
When analyzing the baseline data (“Before” photos), I identified a complex combined pathology. In the frontal view, an S-shaped deviation of the nasal dorsum and a strong shift of the entire axis to the left were clearly visible, which visually distorted the facial proportions. In the profile view, a massive osteocartilaginous hump was determined, and the nasal tip looked heavy, droopy, and lacked clear anatomical support.
My task was not just to remove the hump, but to perform a large-scale reconstruction: completely realign the nasal axis, restore facial symmetry, and restore full respiratory function. During a complex rhinoseptoplasty, I performed a high-precision septoplasty to correct the septum, carried out an accurate osteotomy to center the dorsum and eliminate the hump, and completely rebuilt the cartilaginous framework of the nasal tip, elevating it and establishing the correct projection.
The photo shows a very early result — just 3 weeks after surgery. At this stage, the tissues still retain a pronounced postoperative swelling (especially in the area of the tip and the bridge of the nose), which will gradually subside over the course of a year. However, a colossal difference is already visible: the nasal axis has become perfectly straight, the dorsum is smooth and elegant, and the tip is elevated, opening the nasolabial angle. The patient’s face has gained the desired symmetry, harmony, and softness, and the young woman herself has finally gotten rid of nasal congestion and breathes completely freely.
