Long-Term Stable Result of Rhinoseptoplasty (2.5 Years)

A young woman visited my clinic to harmonize her profile. She was concerned about the excessive length of her nose and a pronounced hump, which detracted from the delicacy of her facial features. What makes this case particularly valuable is that the “After” photographs were taken 2.5 years after the operation. This is the ideal timeframe to demonstrate a truly stable, fully formed, and long-lasting result of my work.

Anatomical Analysis of the Baseline Data (“Before” Photos)

When analyzing the patient’s profile, I identified several key features that required correction:

• Nasal dorsum: A large osteocartilaginous hump was clearly visible. It disrupted the smooth lines of the middle third of the face and made the profile appear visually heavier and more masculine.
• Nasal tip: It was excessively long and drooped downward. Because of this, the nasolabial angle remained acute, which visually added age to the face and gave it an overly stern appearance.
• Internal structures: The anatomical shape of the nose indicated a concomitant deviated nasal septum. The patient confirmed my assumptions, noting that she periodically experienced problems with full nasal breathing.

Surgical Goals and Technical Nuances

My primary goal was to create a completely natural, refined feminine nose that would blend perfectly with her facial proportions without altering the patient’s individuality.

During the surgery, I performed a careful osteotomy to completely eliminate the hump and shape a smooth, elegant nasal dorsum. I paid special attention to working with the cartilaginous framework: I shortened the overall length of the nose and delicately lifted (rotated) the tip. To ensure that the nasal tip would not droop over time due to facial expressions and gravity, I securely fixed it in its new position using cartilage grafts. Along with this, a septoplasty was performed to fully restore free breathing aerodynamics.

Result After 2.5 Years (“After” Photos)

Thirty months later, we see a flawless and, most importantly, absolutely stable result:

• The nasal dorsum has become perfectly straight and smooth.
• The nasal tip is neatly lifted, forming a harmonious, open nasolabial angle. The excessive length is completely gone.
• The patient’s overall appearance looks much softer, younger, and more delicate.

This case is a clear demonstration of how a properly designed nasal architecture successfully stands the test of time. Years later, the nose looks natural and exquisitely sculpted, and my patient enjoys not only the aesthetics but also perfect nasal breathing.
