This charming patient came to me wishing to soften her facial features, making them more feminine and refined. Her main aesthetic concerns regarded the shape of her nose, which disrupted overall harmony and proportions.
Initial Anatomical Features (Before Surgery)
During the initial consultation, I noted the following key nuances:
- Nasal bridge: The presence of a prominent hump, which deprived the profile of smoothness and softness.
- Nasal tip: Noticeably droopy, asymmetrical, and slightly heavy in the frontal view. This defect visually elongated the nose, giving the face a more stern, tired, and aged appearance.
- Skin quality: Medium skin thickness required particularly precise and careful modeling of the underlying cartilaginous framework to achieve sharp yet natural contours without the risk of visibility through the skin.
- Functional state: Due to a concomitant deviated septum, the patient also experienced periodic difficulties with full nasal breathing.
Surgical Procedure and Objectives
My task was to perform a comprehensive rhinoseptoplasty capable of addressing both aesthetic and functional issues. The work was carried out in several directions:
- I gently removed the osteocartilaginous hump, shaping a perfectly straight, elegant nasal bridge.
- I paid special attention to the tip area: performed a delicate reconstruction and narrowing of the alar cartilages, corrected the asymmetry, lifted the nasal tip, and secured it in a correct, anatomically stable projection.
- Simultaneously, I performed a septoplasty, straightening the nasal septum and restoring free airflow.
Aesthetic and Functional Outcome (1 Year Later)
The photographs show a stable result 1 year after the surgery.
The facial proportions are perfectly balanced. The new, elegant line of the nasal bridge and the refined, slightly lifted tip visually “opened up” the face, making its features softer, fresher, and more harmonious. The change in the nasolabial angle brought a noticeable rejuvenating effect.
The nose looks entirely natural and harmonizes with the unique features of the patient’s appearance. All breathing functions are fully restored. The patient is happy and feels confident, which is the ultimate criterion of a successful procedure for me.
