A young woman came for an initial consultation with the desire to make her facial features more refined and harmonious, as well as to forget about nasal breathing problems forever.
Initial anatomical features
During a thorough visual examination and palpation, I noticed a massive, bulbous nasal tip and a rather wide nasal bridge. These anatomical features visually made the face heavier, drawing unnecessary attention and hiding the patient’s natural delicacy. In addition, the initial picture was complicated by the presence of thick, dense skin and a deviated nasal septum, which prevented the girl from breathing deeply.
Course of the surgery
Working with thick skin is always a special professional challenge. Such a structure of the integumentary tissues requires me to apply filigree surgical techniques. To create an elegant, clearly defined nasal tip under such a dense “cover”, I needed to build a strong, yet delicate cartilaginous framework. My task was to perform a hybrid rhinoseptoplasty: not only to aesthetically transform the appearance but also to perform a complete functional correction, freeing the airways.
Result
The surgery went flawlessly. I delicately narrowed the nasal bridge, modeled a neat, structural tip, and straightened the septum. Even on the operating table, despite the inevitable primary swelling, it is visible how radically the proportions have changed. The face instantly transformed, acquiring lightness, an aristocratic look, and that much-desired refinement. Aesthetics now goes hand in hand with perfect functionality. The patient is happy, as she can now breathe freely and look at her renewed reflection in the mirror with pleasure, and this is the main reward in my practice.
