Preserving Masculine Charisma in the Correction of a Massive Nose

Description

A young man came to the clinic with a complex request: he was concerned about both facial aesthetics and functional discomfort. The main visual complaints were a pronounced hump and the overall massiveness of the nose, while a deviated septum predictably caused difficulties with nasal breathing.

Initial Anatomical Features

Upon detailed examination, I noted a deviation of the nasal axis, pronounced nostril asymmetry, and a slightly drooping, somewhat wide tip. The situation was complicated by the patient’s rather thick and porous skin. For me as a surgeon, this meant the need to create a particularly strong and meticulously calibrated cartilaginous framework so that the new contour would be clearly visible, yet natural.

Course of the Surgery

I performed an open hybrid rhinoseptoplasty. My task was to find the perfect balance: to eliminate the defects, but under no circumstances feminize the face, preserving its masculine charisma. I delicately removed the hump, straightened the nasal dorsum, and reconstructed the septum to fully restore breathing function. The nasal tip was carefully shaped and elevated into an anatomically correct position.

Result

As a result, we achieved a straight, aesthetically correct, but absolutely masculine profile with no signs of surgical intervention. The face began to look more harmonious and fresh, and the patient now enjoys not only a new reflection in the mirror but also full, unrestricted breathing.
