Creating a feminine profile and restoring breathing function

Description

A young, charming girl visited the consultation with a desire to harmonize her facial features. The main aesthetic complaint was a prominent hump, which disrupted the smoothness of the profile, drew unnecessary attention, and visually weighed down the middle third of the face. In addition, since it was a matter of a full rhinoseptoplasty, the patient experienced discomfort and difficulty with nasal breathing due to a deviated nasal septum.

Initial anatomical features

During a detailed pre-operative examination, I noticed a pronounced osteo-cartilaginous hump and an insufficiently defined, somewhat wide nasal tip. The patient’s skin in the tip area was moderately thick — this is an important nuance that always requires special delicacy and a jewelry-like precision from me when modeling new, elegant shapes, so that the result looks natural and not “operated on.”

Course of the operation

I performed an open primary rhinoseptoplasty. The choice of open access allowed me to work with the internal structures as accurately and predictably as possible. My main task was not just to remove the hump, but to rebuild a harmonious framework: I performed meticulous work with the alar cartilages to narrow and structure the nasal tip, made the bridge perfectly straight, and, crucially, straightened the nasal septum to fully restore proper breathing.

Result

Assessing the result immediately after the operation, I proudly see how my patient’s face has been transformed. I shaped a beautiful, aesthetic nasal bridge and a neat, refined tip. The profile became soft, feminine, and harmonious; the face looks fresher and more open. We achieved a double victory: we created flawless aesthetics and restored free, easy breathing. And, as the quote goes, which has already become our inside joke: “The eyes are mother’s, but the nose is from Gevorg Yurievich.” The patient is absolutely happy, and seeing her new, confident beauty is the best reward for me.
