Description

A patient approached me with a desire to change her profile. The initial architecture of her nose deprived her facial features of softness: a pronounced hump and a drooping tip gave the face excessive severity and made it look visually older.

Analysis of Facial Proportions in Profile

During the analysis, I identified key anatomical features requiring correction:

  • Pronounced osteocartilaginous hump: it disrupted the smoothness of the lines and dominated the face, drawing all the attention to itself.
  • Drooping nasal tip and acute nasolabial angle: the tip pointed downward, which visually elongated the nose. In such cases, under the weight of the drooping tip, the respiratory function often suffers as well — the internal nasal valve narrows, making the passage of air difficult.
  • Dorsum disproportion: the high starting line of the nose (in the bridge area) required a harmonious lowering.
Surgical Procedure

My goal was to create a refined, natural feminine profile and fully restore free breathing. The operation required utmost precision when working with bone structures to avoid irregularities, as well as creating a reliable cartilaginous support for the tip that would prevent it from drooping over time.

During the rhinoseptoplasty, I carefully sculpted the nasal dorsum, completely removing the hump and shaping a noble, straight line. The nasal tip was delicately lifted (rotated) and fixed in a new, anatomically correct position. This allowed opening up the nasolabial angle, making it more obtuse and aesthetically pleasing.

Result After 15 Months

The photo on the right shows the result 15 months after the surgery. Such a long period is the best indicator of the stability of my work. During this time, the swelling has completely subsided, the tissues have fully adapted, and the shaped framework has demonstrated absolute reliability.

The new, elegant contour of the nose highlighted the beauty of the patient’s eyes and lips, making her face harmonious, fresh, and radiant. The patient breathes perfectly and feels absolutely confident.
